Life, Amongst Other Things

Wooooo! ~kpt and I leave Thursday afternoon for Nacogdoches. I'll be attending orientation on Friday and coming back Saturday. Sunday we move into the apartment. Yayayayayay!

Other than that, I've been dealing with sinus infection galore. I think this second round of zithromax is doing the trick, though.

Big bro turned 22 on Saturday. ~kpt's birthday is this coming Saturday. Hope all the Yanks had a great Independence Day. Personally, mine was spent laying our fighting vertigo. And Dad got back from an awesome week at Pilchuck Glass School in Washington state. If you're in the Austin area, swing by Helios Friday for a slideshow and to hear fun stories.

Important Dates

09-11 July: Orientation! I'll be leaving Thursday afternoon and won't be back until Saturday afternoon. I'll be popping in, but only when I'm at the hotel. 12 hours will be driving [total, 6 each way] and just about all of Friday is spent on campus for the actual orientation process.

12 July: And right after we get back from orientation? MOVING TIME! YES! That's right! We have an official move-in date for our apartment. It's such a relief and very exciting. I'll probably squeeze in that morning and evening, but expect me to pass out after all is said and done. But hey, I'll be coming to you from a whole new [albeit quite temporary] home. I say that because I'm moving to campus in August and probably getting my own apartment near campus next summer.

18 July: Best. Date. Ever. =Texasdevmeet in AUSTIN! HELL YEAH! I am so beside myself. I get to see/meet `smoking-mirrors, ^StJoan, `lemontea, =mackattack23, =DJStrife, `Oukan, ^ArtisticAunJuli, @summaro and tons of others. I'm just... ohh-emm-gee'ing all over the place here. If you're in Texas, COME! I'm sure there are people near you who are coming into Austin for the meet. Check out =Texasdevmeet's journal and forum to hook up a ride. It's going to be amazing.

28 August - ?? ???: Dorms open on the 29th, which means leaving for Nacogdoches on the 28th at the latest. And then I start school. All over again. Remember: I took a sudden medical withdrawal at the end of October [and was already in *out of school* mode for some time before then]. It's a whole new world: uni with UCTD/premature Lupus. It's going to be rough - I'm not having and disillusions about that. However, I am intending that it will still be positive despite being rough. Just very, very busy and chaotic. Once more: I'll be around, just less and more sporadically.
